Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM) postcard template below is pre-built to the exact trim, bleed, and safe area USPS requires, sized and ready to go. Pick your size, download the PDF, and design in whatever program you already use. No account, no email gate.
There are two versions of each size: full service and print only, because the two AccurateAZ services print your postcard differently. See which one you need below before you download.
Which template do I need?
- Full service: you pick your routes and we handle printing, postage, and mailing. The full service template reserves a blank zone in the upper-right corner. We print your required EDDM postage indicia there for you, on top of your artwork. You don’t need to do anything with that corner.
- Print only: we print your postcards and ship them to you; you handle the mailing yourself. Print only templates ship without postage markings. To mail them via EDDM, add your indicia in the upper-right: either in your artwork before upload, or applied after delivery. Without it, they’re great handouts, but USPS can’t mail them.
- Not sure which is right for you? See how full service and print only compare, or skip the permit hassle entirely: full service prints the indicia for you.
Where the EDDM indicia goes on your template
Every EDDM piece, full service or print only, needs the required USPS indicia (postage marking) in the upper-right corner of the address side. Every template on this page has that zone marked out. Who fills it in depends on which template you’re using:
- Full service template: leave it blank. We print your indicia there for you when we mail it.
- Print only template: it ships blank. Add your indicia yourself: either build it into your artwork before upload, or apply it after your postcards arrive. Without it, USPS won’t mail the piece (it’s still fine to use as a handout).

Choose your postcard size, then download the template for the service you plan to use:
- Full service: use this when AccurateAZ will print, add the indicia, prepare, and mail the postcards.
- Print only: use this when AccurateAZ will print and ship the postcards to you, and you will handle the mailing requirements yourself.

Every Door Direct Mail size requirements: what each template includes
- Trim size: the finished, cut size of your postcard.
- Bleed: extra margin built into the template so background colors and images run cleanly to the edge with no white sliver after cutting.
- Safe area: the inner boundary where text and important design elements should stay, so nothing gets trimmed off.
- Indicia zone: the upper-right corner reserved for the required EDDM postage marking.
How to use your template
- Download the PDF for your size and service type above.
- Open it in your design program: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Canva, or any program that can import or edit PDFs. Canva’s PDF editor can import PDF files, but converted elements may not preserve every guide or layer perfectly, so check the final size before you upload your finished artwork.
- Design your postcard inside the guides. We print in CMYK, so if your design program can export CMYK, use it. RGB artwork is accepted, but some colors may shift in print; bright screen colors can print noticeably different.
- Export as a PDF at full size, not a screenshot or low-res image. If you’re using Canva specifically, use Download > PDF Print and confirm the finished file still matches the template size.
- Upload your finished art during checkout, full service via the route-mapping tool, print only via the instant pricing tool.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need Canva Pro or special software to use these templates?
Any PDF-capable design program works, including Canva’s free plan. Canva’s free PDF editor can import these template PDFs directly. Keep in mind Canva exports RGB: we print in CMYK, so some colors may shift in print. Because PDF import can convert elements differently, check the final size and layout before uploading your finished artwork.
What’s the difference between the full service and print only template?
The full service template reserves space in the upper-right corner where we print your postage indicia for you. The print only template does not include that treatment. If you’re mailing print only postcards yourself via EDDM, you’ll add that indicia yourself (see next question).
Can I mail print only postcards through EDDM as-is?
Every EDDM piece needs the required indicia (postage marking) in the upper-right of the address side before it can mail. On full service orders we print it for you, on top of your artwork. On print only orders, you add it yourself: include your EDDM indicia in the artwork you upload, or leave that corner clear and add it after printing.
Do these templates cover all Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM) sizes?
Yes. All 8 sizes we offer are genuine USPS EDDM-compliant formats, in both full service and print only versions.
Is there a Canva template version?
These are ready-to-use PDF templates that work with any design program, including Canva. A dedicated guided Canva version is planned as a future addition.
Do you offer 6.25″ x 9″?
6.25″ x 9″ is a genuine, orderable EDDM postcard size that we’re evaluating whether to bring back to our live catalog. If you specifically need this size, let us know and we’ll help you find the right option.
