Print-Only EDDM means exactly what it sounds like: we print your Every Door Direct Mail postcards to USPS specifications and ship them to you. You handle the mailing side yourself.

Start print-only pricingChoose size, paper, finish, and quantity in the live pricing tool.

Start in the print-only pricing tool to select your postcard size and quantity. You will see print pricing before checkout, then shipping is calculated after artwork upload.

That means there is still postal work to do after the postcards arrive. You choose the routes, print the USPS paperwork, prepare the EDDM Retail bundles, attach the facing slip to each bundle, and take the mailing to the correct Post Office.

Most printers who touch EDDM either handle the whole thing at a premium, or don’t work with EDDM specifics at all. Print only splits the difference: professional, USPS-compliant printing, on your own timeline for the mailing side.

How it works

  1. Pick your size and quantity: choose from our EDDM-compliant postcard sizes above.
  2. Upload your artwork or use a free template: bring your own print-ready PDF, or start from one of our free EDDM templates below.
  3. We print and ship: your postcards print to spec and ship to you.
  4. You prepare the mailing: choose your EDDM routes, print PS Form 3587 and the facing slips, bundle the postcards in stacks of 50-100 pieces, attach the facing slip to each bundle, and drop the mailing at the Post Office assigned to those routes.

Frequently asked questions

Can I mail these myself?

Yes. That’s exactly what print only is for. We print and ship your postcards to you; you handle the mailing.

What happens at the Post Office?

Before you go, you prepare the mailing. USPS EDDM Retail mailings are bundled in stacks of 50-100 pieces, with a facing slip attached to each bundle. You also bring the USPS paperwork generated for your selected routes, including PS Form 3587. Depending on the Post Office, you may also need trays or tubs for the prepared bundles.

The mailing must go to the Post Office assigned to the routes you selected, not just any Post Office.

How long does printing take?

Your estimated production completion date shows on this page once you pick a size and quantity, before checkout. Shipping time is separate and calculated at Step 3.

Is there a minimum order?

For printing, runs start at 1,000 pieces. That is the same across every size and paper we offer, and you will see the exact quantities and prices when you pick a size. Use the quantity table on this page for the live print options before checkout. For USPS EDDM-Retail mailing, USPS generally requires at least 200 pieces or 50 pounds, with narrow low-density ZIP Code exceptions.

Can I design my postcard in Canva?

Yes. Canva’s free PDF editor can import PDF files, and you don’t need a paid Canva plan. Keep in mind Canva exports RGB: we print in CMYK, so some colors may shift in print, and other PDF-capable design programs work too. Because PDF import can convert elements differently, check the final size and layout before uploading your finished artwork.

Do I need to add postage or a permit to my design?

Yes. Every EDDM piece needs the required indicia (postage marking) in the upper-right corner of the address side. Print only orders ship without it. You add your own EDDM indicia in the artwork you upload, or leave that corner clear and applying it after your postcards arrive.

What if I’d rather not deal with postage and mailing myself?

We’ll take care of everything for you. Use our full service option to handle routes, printing, postage, and mailing for you, start to finish. See your price free.
